Hi everyone, Today I talk to you about the person that I admire. This person is Humberto Maturana. Humberto Maturana is a biologist and philosopher of Chile. He born in 1928 in Santiago. He estudied medicine in the university of Chile, after studied anatomy and fisiologic in University College lond, and finally he studied biology in University Harvard. He is appreciated for his different study in this area, as in Chile as around the world, thats the reason because I admire a lot at Humberto Maturana. He is very appreciated for your tesis about “what is alive?” where your answer was very important, because he créate new concepts as autopoiesis, intencionality biologic, etc. Which were very vanguardist for the period in which he lived. Your tesis about autopoiesis was than important that he got a national scientist award. Thats is very important for me, because I love so much your books about science and philosophy. Thats are the reasons because I admire at Humberto Maturana, I respect so much at those that read so much and believe that can change the world with your knowledge. He always were study and read its for that he got national scientist award.
